Project Description
Children’s stories: creating new characters (Character Design) is like writing a little story of its own.
You need to imagine the character’s personality, attitudes, clothing, passions — and by doing so, you start to tell a bit of their story and the events that shape them.
This little Spring Fairy was born from a playful prompt on Facebook launched by Un prato di fiabe.
In illustrations, you always put a little of yourself. For spring, I’ve always preferred daisies over roses, and poppies scattered among green wheat fields. And green everywhere.
So my Spring Fairy simply had to be a bit wild, energetic, and fearless — with wheat spikes in her hair, a poppy dress, and plenty of jumping and playing among the daisies. 🙂
Technique: Digital
