Character Design and Food Packaging: proposal for new characters for the restyling of a children’s cereal line (Character Design).
My proposal included the creation and illustration of a series of four animals designed as superheroes — but special superheroes, close to nature and not characterized by the usual ideas of strength, aggression, or typical superhero clothing.
The selected animals are intentionally non-predators (so no tigers, lions, crocodiles, etc., typically associated with superheroes). Instead, as shown in the sketch, animals such as a monkey, a giraffe, and others were chosen. These superheroes — the “SUPER-FLAKES,” guardians of nature — aim to protect the high-quality natural ingredients and enhance the well-being and health of the children who eat the cereals.
The characters are designed with accessories inspired by the natural world: capes, masks, scepters, crowns, and more, all made of leaves, corn, wood, rice grains, and similar materials.
A spoon acting as a magic wand accompanies each character, symbolizing how natural, high-quality food can be “magical” for our well-being.
