Private Commissions: Illustrated Book “Noi…”
For this beautiful private commission, the special occasion was the birth of M. and G.’s first child.
M. contacted me to create this children’s book, providing a wonderful text that recounts the highlights of their love story leading up to the birth of their little one.
We spoke on the phone, and she told me about how they met, their special places, and their travels…
I then used the photographs she provided to draw the characters based on real images, as well as the locations important to their story.
These commissions always move me, because they allow me to be part of a small piece of the client’s life, their emotions (such as the birth of their first child), and a part of their story. A beautiful relationship of trust always develops, and at the moment of delivering the final book I always feel a little nostalgic—but happy to have contributed to creating such a special object that will remain in the hearts of M. and her family for many years.
Since this book was custom-made for the client without a publishing house, I also handled the layout, cover design, and printing, delivering a complete, finished product.
